You can write the date when you open it on the glue bottle, to determine when it should be replaced.

You should always store your adhesive in a place where is cool, dark and dry. Keeping it in a low temperature and low humidity environment will help the adhesive remain its functions well. Glues with different formula have their own ideal storage temperature and humidity, which means you need to check the instruction carefully and store it in where it wants to be in.

Q4 | WHEN SHOULD I SHAKE MY EYELASH ADHESIVE?

Shaking the glue effectively enables all of your glue ingredients to be mixed effectively, and gives your client the best possible retention from their set.

What the lash glue ingredients are:

Stabilizers: make sure the glue works correctly and will influence the drying time of the glue.

Cyanoacrylate is the main ingredient of lash adhesives and is the main ingredient to create the bond. The higher the percentage of cyanoacrylate, the faster your glue will dry.

Carbon black makes the glue appear black. It’s the heaviest ingredient so it sits at the bottom of the bottle when not shaken.

You should shake the bottle of your lash adhesive for at least 2 minutes when you get a new adhesive or at the beginning of the lash extension, and shake a little before dispensing each drop.

Before drop your lash glue, do not forget to “burp it” to releasing the air which are trapped in the glue bottle. So you can turn your adhesive bottle side up and gently squeeze it until the air bubble are released from the bottle nozzle. This clears out the spout and sucks the adhesive back into the bottle.

Q5 | WHY DOES MY BLACK ADHESIVE FINALLY TURN WHITE ON THE LASHES?

Adhesive cures during a chemical reaction process in which chains of polymers cross-link and connect themselves together. As the reaction occurs, fumes are produced and can last up to 24-hours in dry air. The presence of moisture can accelerate the curing process to reduce the time that fumes are present. This can be both useful and devastating to the lashes depending on the level of moisture present. Too much moisture can cure the adhesive too fast, resulting in blanching of the lashes. The adhesive will turn white and the lashes will fall off within hours or days if this occurs.
